A free public event on Thursday will ask the question, “Why do we treat animals the way we do?”
The Winnipeg Humane Society’s Animal Compassion Committee is hosting the talk with ethics professor Arthur Schafer from the University of Manitoba.
Schafer is widely published in the fields of moral, social, and political philosophy.
The free speaker series, Humanistic Reflections on Animal Welfare, will be held in the WHS multipurpose classroom from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
