A conservation tour for visitors to Manitoba’s north will have guests travelling with world-renowned researchers from Polar Bears International.
Conservation Journey: Polar Bears is being put on by Frontiers North Adventures from November 4-9, 2015 in Churchill. The tour coincides with PBI’s fifth annual Polar Bear Week.
“We’ve been partnering with Polar Bears International for over a decade and together have crafted this new, unique adventure to inspire those of us wanting to learn even more about this iconic species with the intent of helping conserve it for generations to come,” said John Gunter, president and CEO of Frontiers North Adventures.
PBI chief scientist Dr. Steven Amstrup will educate visitors on polar bear habitat and species conservation awareness.
Those on the trip will stay at Frontiers North Adventures’ Tundra Buggy Lodge.
A portion of the proceeds of the trip will be provided to Polar Bears International in support of their programs and conservation efforts. The public can help help spread the word with the hashtag #frontiersnorth on social media.
