The Winnipeg Goldeyes have claimed infielder Tony Delmonico off waivers from the Laredo Lemurs and right-handed pitcher Rob Nixon has been placed on irrevocable waivers for the purpose of granting his release.
Delmonico, 28, hit .265 with six home runs and 21 RBI in 28 games with Laredo this season. He played the last two seasons in the Frontier and Atlantic League’s, hitting .322 with 17 home runs and 78 RBI in 153 games.
The Goldeyes have 22 players on their active roster, including 11 pitchers and 11 position players.
