Quebec Cyclist Killed on Highway 1 Near MacGregor

RCMP Crest LogoA 54-year-old man from Quebec, who was cycling from Vancouver to Montreal, was killed on Wednesday while riding on the Trans-Canada Highway just east of MacGregor.

RCMP responded at around 10:30 a.m., where they say the cyclist and a semi-trailer truck collided in the eastbound curbside lane. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the collision and police are continuing to investigate.
