Five days remain to register a team for this year’s MTS Super-Spike at Maple Grove Rugby Park.
The annual outdoor fundraiser for the Winnipeg-based national women’s volleyball team is July 17-18, featuring headlining band The Trews.
Nearly 400 teams are registered so far, putting registration at a record pace.
Weekend passes for non-tournament participants are also on sale for $35 through SuperSpike.ca.
Other performing acts include Moses Mayes & The Family Funk Orchestra, The New Meanies, The Treble, The Revival, The F-Holes, The Reverend Rambler, Leanne Pearson, Mise en Scene, and Papa Mambo.
To date, more than $800,000 has been raised in the past 13 years from tournament activity.
