A locally-produced YouTube video is hoping to generate attention and donations for Winnipeg Harvest.
Taryn Brenner and her business partner at Abraxas Studios created the 10-minute video as a gift to the food bank.
“I came up with a concept for a short film that involved super heroes banding together to help fight the true evil in our city: hunger,” Brenner said. “Through our connections in the cosplay community, we ended up with tons of volunteers dying to help out and support a charity they believe in.”
The video was put together over several months and even includes a cameo by Winnipeg Mayor Brian Bowman.
“We finally showed the finished video to the heads of Winnipeg Harvest last week and they were blown away by it,” Brenner added.
She said the ultimate goal is to inspire others to support Winnipeg Harvest by either volunteering their time or making a donation.
