WINNIPEG — Lower water levels have allowed for the start of the River Spirit Water Bus on the Red and Assiniboine rivers.

The bus will launch Saturday, July 11, making stops at five docks located throughout Winnipeg and leaving from The Forks. Other docks include the Hugo, the Manitoba Legislative Building, Norwood Grove and the Exchange District.

“The River Spirit Water Bus is a great way to connect communities, provide unique transportation options and make use of the waterways our city has to offer,” said Paul Jordan, CEO of The Forks.

Service runs every 15 minutes and no reservations are required. The bus is operational Monday to Thursday from noon to 9 p.m. and Friday to Sunday from noon until 11 p.m.

Rates are $3.50 one way or $20 for an unlimited day pass. Children three and under are free.
