Winnipeg police say a fire on Monday is being treated as a homicide.
Police said they went to a house in the 600 block of Pritchard Avenue at about 7:15 a.m. Monday due to a fire.
Once the fire was extinguished, a body was found inside the home and removed.
Police say the body, that of a man, has not been identified, and an autopsy has been ordered. However, they say the circumstances surrounding the fire remain suspicious and the homicide unit is now investigating.
Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at 204-986-6508.
