Winnipeg police are looking for a woman they call a “person of interest” after a purse was stolen at a business last week.

Police said on June 15, a woman was at a business in the 600 block of Notre Dame Avenue when she left her purse behind. When she returned, it had been stolen.

The purse contained a “substantial amount of traveller’s cheques, along with passports and other important documentation,” said police.

Police released a photo of a woman Thursday in hopes she’ll be identified so they can speak to her.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 986-6668.
