The Winnipeg Goldeyes have signed rookie left-handed pitcher Jon Jones.
The 25-year-old pitched this season in the American Association with the Joplin Blasters and Laredo Lemurs. In 12 games with those two teams, including four starts, the product of Lakeland, Florida went 0-2 with a 6.41 ERA.
At the same time, the Goldeyes placed rookie infielder Robby Spencer on irrevocable waivers for the purpose of granting his release.
The Goldeyes have 22 players on their active roster, including 12 pitchers and 10 position players.
