The Winnipeg Jets have formed a partnership with the Tulsa Oilers as their new ECHL affiliate.
“Tulsa is an organization that shares our level of commitment to success and we look forward to working together to provide our players’ opportunities to further develop themselves on and off the ice,” said Craig Heisinger, senior VP and assist GM of the Winnipeg Jets.
“We are particularly excited to continue our relationship with head coach Jason Christie who has been an integral component of some of our prospects development in the past.”
The Tulsa Oilers entered the ECHL last season after 22 years in the Central Hockey League, and finished with a 37-29-3 record before being eliminated by the Allen Americans in the first round of the Kelly Cup playoffs.
