Winnipeg police are warning the public about a man who supposedly has a problem losing his wallet multiple times in the same location.

Police say they have received reports of suspicious incidents in the vicinity of Assiniboine Park and Wellington Crescent. Female joggers reported they came across a wallet containing a large sum of money. After finding the wallet, they were approached by a man claiming to have lost something.

In each case, the women were not propositioned and no crime took place.

The man is described as Caucasian, in his late 30s or early 40s, 5’7″ tall with a slim build, grey/balding short hair, and scruffy facial hair.

He was wearing khaki coloured shorts and a striped polo shirt in one incident, and a baseball cap and riding a dark coloured bicycle in the other.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (204) 986-6222.
