Police have arrested and charged a 17-year-old boy with two counts of sexual assault after two incidents in a south Winnipeg park last month.
A 24-year-old woman was in the area of Killarney Avenue and Dalhousie Drive on July 29 at around 6 p.m. when the teen began making inappropriate comments. The victim was allegedly sexually assaulted as she was preparing to leave.
In another incident on July 12, a 35-year-old woman was in the same park when the suspect began a conversation with her, which became sexual in nature. The victim was then allegedly sexually assaulted in the upper body.
Police identified a suspect in both incidents and made an arrest on Wednesday.
He was released on a promise to appear.
