Winnipeg police are looking for a man after a 34-year-old woman was sexually assault Saturday morning.
The victim was walking southbound in the 800 block of Main Street just after midnight when a man on a bike rode past her in the opposite direction. Police say the same man circled back and approached the victim from behind, at which time she was forced to the ground. The woman was sexually assaulted, but was able to scream for help.
Passersby in the area heard the commotion and the suspect was scared off. He fled on his bike in the northbound direction.
The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as aboriginal in appearance, approximately 30-years-old with a medium build, long hair (possibly in a ponytail) and a deep voice.
