MTS will soon expand HSPA and LTE wireless service to Piney and Manitoba travellers along Highway 12.
The expansion adds to MTS’s coverage of 98 percent of the province’s population.
“This is a positive step toward our goal, which is getting full cellular coverage for southeastern Manitoba,” said RM of Piney Reeve Wayne Anderson. “We are grateful that MTS is providing this new service to the Piney area.”
MTS CEO Jay Forbes made the announcement in the community, accompanied by representatives from all three levels of government.
“With the most extensive wireless network in the province, MTS is vital to the health of Manitoba’s economy,” Forbes said.
