The West End BIZ is pulling the cover off the new Mural Mentorship mural on Thursday, August 13.
It’s the latest addition to the BIZ’s outdoor gallery, “A World of Music” at 551 Sargent Avenue.
More than 60 local children had a hand in creating the mural, while at the same time being taught basic painting skills and art techniques.
“The children were so proud to help transform this empty lot into something colourful and interesting,” said West End BIZ executive director Gloria Cardwell-Hoeppner.
“Their names are incorporated into the design as musical notes, which they thought was really fun.”
The unveiling is open to the public and will take place at 10 a.m. at the corner of Sargent and McMicken.
