There’s very few reasons to not indulge in having ice cream during the summer, but when it comes to charity, it’s pretty much a no-brainer.
Today is the 13th annual Miracle Treat Day at Dairy Queen, where proceeds from all Blizzards will be donated to the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, including the Children’s Hospital here in Winnipeg.
The goal this year is to more than $100,000 locally for a sophisticated ultra sound machine for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Children’s Hospital.
“Having this type of care will lead to faster diagnosis and less stress on the baby and his/her family,” said Lawrence Prout, president and CEO, Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.
Since 1984, DQ has raised $100 million across North America for the Children’s Miracle Network.
