Fans at tonight’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers game will be treated to a military flyover before kickoff.

In honour of Blue Bomber military and first responder appreciation day, two Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18 Hornets and a CC-130 Hercules aircraft will fly over Investors Group Field shortly after 6 p.m.

The aircraft will fly over the stadium at an altitude no lower than 500 feet above the highest point of the park, before resuming a higher flying altitude for the return trip to 17 Wing Winnipeg.

Such flybys are carried out by the Canadian Armed Forces in support of special events.

The Blue Bombers host the Toronto Argonauts at 7 p.m. Sports reporter John Gaudes will have your game day coverage later tonight on ChrisD.ca.
