A 20-year-old Ontario man has died following a head-on crash on a rural Manitoba highway.
RCMP were called to the scene on Gourlay Road, just north of 61N in the RM of Elton, at around 6 p.m. on Thursday.
Police say a southbound pickup truck collided head-on with a northbound van.
The 33-year-old Boissevain man driving the pickup wasn’t injured. The 19-year-old Ontario man driving the van, along with a passenger, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A third passenger wasn’t injured, but the fourth was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
The man’s name isn’t being released.
