You’ll be trading in your swimsuit for formal wear at Fun Mountain this weekend.
The water park on Winnipeg’s outskirts will be the site of the Butterfly Release Champagne and Wine Tent Gala on Sunday, benefiting alternative cancer therapies and research.
Owner Tanya Hall is throwing the star-studded event out of her personal experience with thyroid cancer in 2008.
“Who would think of cancer as having any kind of positive effect but in my experience cancer didn’t just touch my body, it touched every part of me and the journey to recovery and healing radically changed me in a beautiful way,” Hall said. “That is what this event celebrates.”
Cynthia Bailey and Claudia Jordan of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and Jackie Christie and Mehgan James of “The Real Housewives of LA” will be in attendance, as well as Nick Cannon, host of “America’s Got Talent” and Mariah Carey’s former husband.
Camera crews will be capturing the up close and personal tented affair all night.
A limited run of 2,500 Tickets are available through Ticketmaster for the 18+ event. Prices range from $89.25 to $516.75.
