WINNIPEG — A new website has been launched to help local craft brewers in the province grow and thrive.

ManitobaBrewHub.ca provides a resource for potential craft brewers and micro-distillers to find links to the municipal, provincial and federal information required to start operations in Manitoba.

“We know Manitobans love their beer and more and more of us are enjoying craft beer,” said Tourism, Culture, Heritage, Sport and Consumer Protection Minister Ron Lemieux.

“Our goal is to encourage growth in the local craft brewing and micro-distillery industry to create more jobs and opportunities at home in agriculture, hospitality and tourism.”

The website is another extension of Manitoba’s Craft Breweries Strategy, announced in 2014 to develop and boost Manitoba’s homegrown brewing industry.

Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries will maintain the site, with the intention of handing it over to a member-run association in the future.
