The United Fire Fighters of Winnipeg have a launched a new website to address post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

“Within the world of firefighters and paramedics this had become a priority issue as we have often seen the tragic consequences of untreated PTSD,” the UFFW said in a release.

PTSD legislation in Manitoba covers firefighters and other first responders.

The website PTSDtalk.ca will be used as a referral tool for firefighters and other first responders.

It features information and videos of firefighters discussing the effects of PTSD as well as the provincial legislation and how to access its coverage.
