A few traffic notes for your weekend if you use the St. James Bridge, Vaughn Street or McPhillips Street.
The city will close the southbound ramp on the St. James Bridge to Academy Road at 6 p.m. tonight. The closure is to accommodate road maintenance work and will be in effect until Tuesday, August 25 at 6 a.m.
Vaughan Street will be closed to all vehicle traffic between The Promenade and Portage Avenue on Sunday, August 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to accommodate crane work. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Northbound McPhillips Street from Lansdowne Avenue to Leila Avenue will be closed to all traffic from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday for the Filipino Street Festival Parade.
Motorists are advised to allow for additional travel time or to use alternate routes in this area to reach their destinations.
