Mosquito Fogging Resuming Tonight in City Parks

August 26, 2015 12:56 PM | News

MosquitoMosquito fogging will resume in Winnipeg tonight, weather permitting, after the program was suspended earlier this month.

Crews will target Assiniboine Park, St. Vital Park, King’s Park and Kildonan Park between 9:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.

The city says major parks are being fogged due to high trap counts in these areas.

“Mosquitoes gravitate towards treed areas with higher humidity and places where people congregate. Fogging will not occur outside the park boundaries,” the city stated in a news release.

Residential fogging is expected to begin Thursday night.
