Two Montreal men who travelled to Winnipeg for the purpose of allegedly committing credit card fraud have been arrested.
On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, the two visited three local department stores, where they purchased $29,000 worth of electronics and gift cards, including several iPads and iPods.
One observant business contacted police once realizing the forged credit cards.
Police were able to quickly make arrests on Wednesday when the two suspects were found in the area of the 2000 block of Wellington Avenue.
Steevy Berthelot, 18, and Oussama Kansou, 25, of Montreal, Quebec have been charged with numerous fraud-related offences.
Both remain in custody.
