Police Investigate Sexual Assault on Winnipeg Child

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police have opened up a sexual assault investigation after an 11-year-old girl was inappropriately touched on Saturday.

The incident occurred when the girl and her mother were in a restaurant in the 100 block of Isabel Street just after midnight. An unknown man approached the girl and a sexual assault took place.

He was confronted by the victim’s mother and fled the store.

He is described as a caucasian man, about 5’9″ tall, 35-years-old with a slim build and a goatee. He was wearing a black tank top and black jeans that had chains hanging from a pocket.
