A summer of cruising 50 km/h in Winnipeg school zones is no more beginning today.
September 1 means the start of reduced speeds in 171 city school zones to 30 km/h.
The decreased speed limit is in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Police say both traditional and photo radar enforcement will be used to ensure drivers are travelling the adjusted speed.
Most students don’t return to class until September 9.
