A 20-year-old man is facing charges after the laptop he brought to a Winnipeg computer repair shop turned up child pornography.
Police say technicians began a restoration on the computer July 7, when videos of females between the ages of three and seven engaged in sexual abuse acts were discovered.
Members of the Internet Child Exploitation Unit were notified and began an investigation.
The suspect was arrested on Thursday and faces charges of accessing and possessing child pornography.
He was released on a promise to appear.
