A head-on crash south of Russell on Saturday night has killed a man from Inglis, Manitoba.
Shortly before midnight, a northbound SUV and southbound pickup truck collided on Highway 16 about 10 km south of the community.
RCMP say the two passengers of the truck were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the driver was uninjured.
The 73-year-old man driving the SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was the only occupant in the vehicle.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor and police continue to investigate.
