Before you freak out, Manitoba isn’t being invaded by UFOs.
Search and rescue crews from 435 Transport and Rescue Squadron will be conducting exercises near CFB Shilo this week.
The training involves the dropping of illumination flares and practicing all aspects of night search and rescue operations.
The night exercises will be carried out today until Friday above the Shilo range, located southeast of CFB Shilo west of Highway 238.
The squadron operates out of 17 Wing Winnipeg and is responsible for search and rescue calls 24/7.
