WINNIPEG — Two upcoming public open houses will present options for the replacement of the Arlington Bridge over the CPR yards.

A short-term solution will be presented on the bridge’s current alignment or adjacent to it to maintain transportation needs of the north end. The bridge itself cannot be repaired due to its aging structure.

Two long-term options have been developed: widening the McPhillips Underpass or constructing a new tunnel connecting Sherbrook Street and McGregor Street.

The public can provide feedback on the options during the following open houses:

September 17, 2015
3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Location: Health Sciences Centre, Wellness Marketplace 700 William Avenue (main entrance, just past reception desk)

September 19, 2015
Noon to 4 p.m.
Location: North Centennial Recreation and Leisure Centre, 90 Sinclair Street

Those unable to attend can submit feedback online or call 311.

Future dialogue groups at community organizations and a telephone survey are also planned surrounding the project.
