WINNIPEG — The Manitoba Bisons have recruited offensive lineman Aarmin Purewal for the football 2016 season.

The 6’5,”, 290 lbs. Victoria, B.C. native is currently playing with the Westshore Rebels of the BCFC.

The 19-year-old was named an all-star, all-Canadian and most outstanding lineman on three variety provincial championship teams.

“Signing with Manitoba at last is truly a dream come true, it’s been a long three year process but I’m glad it’s finally come to an end,” Purewal said.

“Coach (Brian) Dobie and (OL coach Terry) Watson recruited me like I was family, and that’s something I really loved about the Bisons. The coaching staff and facilities are world class, and I can’t wait to be out in Winnipeg to help the team as much as I can.”

Purewal is an alumnus of Mount Douglas Secondary football program in Saanich, B.C.
