Winnipeg police say a woman has drowned after being found in the Red River.
Police responded at around 8:15 a.m to an area near the Louise Bridge and pulled the woman from the water. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Police have identified the woman, but aren’t releasing her name. An autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death.
No further details were released.
