Man Charged After String of Commercial Robberies

Winnipeg Police CrestA Winnipeg man is facing charges after a string of commercial robberies in the city.

Police responded Sunday to the report of six break-ins, including in the:

  • 1700 block of Plessis Road
  • 1000 block of McGregor Street
  • 2500 block of Main Street
  • 1800 block of Main Street
  • 400 block of Springfield Road
  • 1600 block of King Edward Street

Zachary Leonard Gordon Brown, 26, has been charged with seven counts of robbery and wearing a disguise, plus seven counts of failing to comply with probation orders.

The seventh robbery Brown is alleged to have committed was in the 1000 block of McGregor Street on September 16.

He remains in custody.
