Lighthouse Mission Serving 400 Thanksgiving Meals to the Homeless

Thanksgiving TurkeyFour-hundred Thanksgiving dinners will be served up in downtown Winnipeg today for the city’s less fortunate.

Project Echo is a joint effort by Granny’s Poultry, Peak of the Market, Cantor’s Meats, Chicken Delight, and LITE. Guests will gather for one of three sittings at the Lighthouse Mission.

“Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful and I’m thankful we can give to those who need it most in the community,” said Project Echo president Heather Allan.

Hot meals will be served at 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
