Police Arrest Suspect in Rash of Break-Ins, Thefts

Winnipeg Police CrestA 26-year-old man police say went on a break-in crime spree, has been arrested.

John David Nickerson was picked up Saturday after police began their investigation into the alleged crimes, which occurred between March and October of this year.

The break-ins targeted various businesses and residential properties.

Nickerson has been charged with three counts of break and enter/theft, two counts of break and enter with intent, robbery, possession of a weapon, and theft under $5,000.

The suspect remains in police custody.
