WINNIPEG — Kildonan Place Shopping Centre has won top honours among its retail peers for a recent marketing campaign.
The mall won gold at the Canadian Shopping Centre Awards held in Toronto earlier this month for the “Shop Happy” campaign.
“This award is shared with so many people who share the Kildonan Place ‘Shop Happy’ spirit,” said KP marketing manager Corey Quintaine. “From our agency partners to our guest services staff who bring these events to life, this was truly a team effort.”
KP hosting 12 “Happy Days” that celebrated quirky, little-known holidays like Lost Socks Day and National Hot Dog Day, successfully engaging 6,000 shoppers. The centre raised $3,500 for 12 community partners and boosted participating retailers’ sales by four percent to 48 percent.
The campaign also garnered over 10 million impressions through social media and internal media channels.
