The Assiniboine Park Zoo stirred up all the cuteness Thursday by posting a video of a young girl making friends with a seal.
Emil is one of four harbour seals living in the zoo’s Journey to Churchill northern-species exhibit.
The one-minute video shows the girl seemingly directing the seal how to move with her finger, and then running from side-to-side as the marine mammal follows.
Emil flips and turns while trying to keep up with the child, all while the young visitor never stops laughing.
“If you watch any video today, this should be it. We guarantee it will make you smile,” the zoo wrote on its Facebook page.
Journey to Churchill recently won an award from the Association of Zoos and Aquariums for its exhibit design.
