Winnipeg police have arrested a man who left a gun in the back of a taxicab in February.
The 23-year-old man got into a cab in the first 100 block of St. Anne’s Road and was driven to the 300 block of Blake Street. Upon exiting, he left behind a loaded firearm in the backseat.
Mathew Kenneth Ellison was arrested on Thursday without incident.
He has been charged with numerous firearms offences and remains in custody.
