Police Treating St. Boniface Death as a Homicide

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police say the body of a woman found in the 500 block of Marion Street on Friday morning is considered a homicide.

Police were called to the area at around 8:40 a.m. for the death of a 49-year-old woman. Circumstances surrounding her death are suspicious in nature.

Police have identified the victim, but aren’t releasing her name.

Results of an autopsy are pending.

The homicide unit continues to investigate and no arrests have been made.

UPDATE: Saturday, October 31 — The victim has been identified as Camille Runke, 49, of Winnipeg. She is considered the victim of a shooting.
