Slurpee fans brave enough to shed their fall layers and head into a 7-Eleven wearing only their bathing suits will score the sugary drink on the house.
The convenience store chain is throwing a national Slurpee Beach Party on Saturday, November 7 — the reverse of 7-Eleven’s birthday. The idea for the one-day only promotion is to have customers ditch their warmer clothes and wear their beach wardrobe to a local store.
“We think it’s fun to disrupt things once in a while and what better way than with a beach party in winter and on the reverse of our birthday,” said Raj Kapoor, vice-president and general manager, 7-Eleven Canada.
“We are pretty sure we’ll see a lot of our customers across the country getting into the spirit of Slurpee and braving the cold. It’s going to be quite the occasion, especially if our markets are experiencing some low temperatures.”
The promotion will run in all Canadian stores from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time on the 7th, while supplies last. Those who wear a bathing suit will receive a free medium Slurpee.
