An online fundraising campaign has launched to further a Winnipeg group’s efforts to provide residents with healthy and affordable food in areas when it’s not as easily accessible.
The Good Food Box program is an initiative of Winnipeg FoodShare Co-op. The program connects city residents with access to fresh fruits and vegetables at an affordable price and from convenient community pick-up points.
Community depots receive Good Food boxes each week, alternating between the North End and West End/central neighbourhoods of the city.
The campaign launched on Monday and will run until Tuesday, December 1. The fundraising goal is $25,000.
