The lack of snow on the ground has prompted the city to extend curbside yard waste collection for Winnipeg residents for two more weeks.

Residents can place their yard waste containers at the curb on November 20 (Area A) and November 27 (Area B).

Yard waste includes unlimited amounts of outside organic materials, such as grass clippings, leaves, plants, flowers, bush/shrub clippings, and small tied bundles of branches no longer than one metre or heavier than 22 kilograms.

The city reminds residents that items not accepted include logs, stumps, rocks, dirt, sod, and litter.
