Two Injured in Pair of Winnipeg Shootings

Winnipeg Police CrestTwo men are recovering in hospital after separate shootings in Winnipeg Saturday morning.

The first occurred in the 400 block of Stradbrook Avenue at around 12:30 a.m. when a man was shot in the upper body.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

The second shooting happened in the area of Broadway and Donald Street just before 6:30 a.m. when a man was also shot in the upper body.

He was taken to hospital in unstable condition.

The homicide unit and major crimes unit are investigating the shootings. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
