A new addictions hotline launched by the Manitoba government will help provide supports for drug, alcohol or gambling addictions.
The Manitoba Addictions Helpline will be managed by the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba, and accompany a web component with a self-screening tool to help guide people to the most appropriate service to meet their needs.
“When someone is ready to deal with an addiction, we want it to be as straightforward as possible to find the most appropriate supports and services,” said Healthy Living and Seniors Minister Deanne Crothers.
“With the new Manitoba Addictions Helpline, there is now an easy and confidential way to find out about the resources available.
The hotline is available 24/7 by calling 1-855-662-6605. More information is available at MBAddictionHelp.ca.
