Lockdown Lifted at Stony Mountain Institution

A lockdown and search at a penitentiary north of Winnipeg has ended.

Stony Mountain Institution was placed into lockdown November 12 so a search of the medium and maximum security units could be conducted.

The Correctional Service Canada says the extra precautions have now ended.

Visits to the institution have resumed.
