Winnipeg Zoo Throwing Grey Cup-Themed Festivities

WINNIPEG — Assiniboine Park Zoo is celebrating the Grey Cup being in our city by offering football-themed activities.

All next week, the zoo will have all ages entertainment surrounding the CFL championship including polar bear and seal pool parties, polar bears predicting the Grey Cup winner, the Grey Cup football selfie search and other fun.

“It’s an honour to have the Grey Cup taking place in Winnipeg and we can’t wait to share in the festivities,” said Janice Martin, curator at Assiniboine Park Zoo.

“From our signature Journey to Churchill exhibit to the fun Grey Cup activities, in particular the polar bears predicting the Grey Cup winner, we hope to offer tourists and locals alike a unique experience here at the zoo.”

Activities will run from Wednesday, November 25 to Sunday, November 29. The zoo is open daily between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
