Construction of the Ness Avenue Bridge over Sturgeon Creek will begin December 7.
The city says Ness will be closed between School Road and Valley View Drive until October 2016.
Construction is part of a $14 million project to replace the high-level bridge with a new 75-year structure.
Traffic and transit will be re-routed for the duration of the project.
