Police Raid Winnipeg Home of Nearly $500K in Marijuana

Winnipeg Police CrestWinnipeg police raided a home in the 300 block of Boyd Avenue on Monday, seizing nearly half a million dollars in marijuana.

Police executed a search warrant at around 12:10 p.m. and seized 338 marijuana plants valued at $378,000. Officers also seized 173 grams in harvested marijuana worth $1,730, and grow operation equipment valued at $12,750.

A 42-year-old man has been charged with producing a scheduled substance and possession of a scheduled substance.

He was released on a promise to appear.
