It will cost you more to ride public transit in 2016.

Winnipeg Transit is increasing fares effective January 1. Full and Handi-Transit cash fares will be $2.65, while reduced and senior fares will be $2.15.

New rates for tickets and passes will also be in effect January 1.

Current 2015 bus tickets (plus the cash difference) will be accepted until March 31, 2016.
